Owen County GOP

Upcoming Events & Notices

Good Morning,

As I mentioned yesterday, the caucus for county Auditor scheduled for May 26th has been canceled. We were in the process of rescheduling the date for the caucus, when the state informed us that the Auditor, like the Clerk position, requires the office holder to notify the Governors office if they resign. We were not aware of that requirement and therefore, would have had to reschedule the caucus accordingly. In my conversations with Mrs. Reeves regarding the requirement, I again expressed my personal appreciation for her performance and pointed out the overwhelming outpouring of public support, which she also is aware of. I am very happy to announce that Mrs. Reeves has decided to withdraw her resignation due in part these outpourings as well as some of her own personal reasons.

OCRP Chairman
